We are thrilled to announce that, in the past two weeks, seven new growth-stage companies have begun their Apprenticeship program at The Junto Institute.
Two weeks ago, we officially launched in Los Angeles with our first three companies.
A Hundred Years is a full-service creative consultancy that helps organizations across sectors uncover their true purpose. With three offices around the world, the company has helped clients like NASA, Mattel, and XPRIZE activate their purpose by developing brand strategies, reimagining the employee experience, and designing websites and campaigns.
Rypplzz ("ripples") is a technology company building a new internet system comprised of a built-from-scratch cloud architecture and a patented telecommunication network. The company is best-known for its "Rock the Lights" pre-game shows for the Los Angeles Kings professional hockey team, demonstrating one simple application of its technology.
Valcre is a SaaS (software-as-a-service) company that provides an innovative platform for commercial real estate appraisals. Its founding team has deep experience in both the appraisal and real estate sectors, enabling them to help appraisers write robust reports faster, with fewer errors, and more information through critical integrations.
And last week, we kicked off JuntoVI in Chicago with our first four companies.
AllSet Turnover is a property management platform serving hosts of short-term rentals such as those on Airbnb and VRBO. The company markets and manages guest stays from end-to-end, including arrival, cleaning, and around-the-clock support, both in-person and via telephone. Each of the company's employees is a current or former Airbnb or VRBO host.
Buildout is the leading end-to-end, cloud-based solution for marketing commercial real estate listings, empowering brokerages across the nation to showcase their brand and grow their business. Founded in 2010, Buildout remained bootstrapped until raising an $8 million Series A round in 2017 from Susquehanna Partners.
Savory Crust is a gourmet handmade empanadas company with wholesale distribution, a growing number of pop-up locations in downtown Chicago, and a retail storefront in Morton Grove, Illinois. The company was conceived in a hospital room, where one sister began discussing the idea of starting an empanada business to distract another sister from the effects of her chemotherapy treatment sessions.
Vehicle Acquisition Network (VAN) helps auto dealers acquire private party vehicles via a proprietary messaging platform to in-market private sellers, reducing price points for both sides of the market. Founded by veterans of the automotive industry, VAN is in process of building a buy-center in Houston, Texas to further innovate an old-school industry sector.
These seven companies will be joined by others throughout 2018 as part of The Junto Institute's new rolling enrollment programs. Twenty-five companies have graduated from Junto since 2013, growing at an average rate of 70% per year since enrolling in the program.
